Here we have a 3 1/2″ gauge BR Britannia. Built to the LBSC design, this is another nicely engineered model that is still in very tidy condition, and indeed mechanically it doesn’t appear to have been used very much at all. The silver soldered copper boiler has a large combustion chamber in it with 6 thermic syphons so it should steam pretty freely as well!
There is an injector fitted, am axle pump with footplate bypass valve as well as the hand pump in the tender. Mechanical lubricator under the front running boards as well, and of course she can come fully boiler tested and commissioned ready to play. A few nice detailing touches on this one too with opening cab doors and the steam brake pedistal. I nice looking Britt that you could definitely sneak into the hallway without your better half noticing!
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get! We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
